1. Market Benchmark Disclaimer

The rates published on the Scrapprice daily price indices are calculated averages compiled from transactions at active recycling centers in Gujarat.

⚠️ Important: These indices serve as benchmark estimations. Final transaction prices are subject to purity grading and weight verification at the buyer’s scale. We do not guarantee matching pricing structures at independent yards.

2. Motor Vehicles Scrapping (RVSF Compliance)

In accordance with the **Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021**:

  • All End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) must be scrapped exclusively through a **Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF)**.
  • Facility operators in Gujarat must obtain Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) clearances from the **Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB)**.
  • All vehicle disposals must be logged on the national **VAHAN database portal** to secure legal deregistration and receive a Certificate of Deposit.

3. Battery & Lead waste Disposal

Under the **Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022**:

Spent lead-acid batteries contain toxic lead components and corrosive fluids. It is strictly illegal to dispose of batteries in municipal solid waste bins. Spent batteries must be turned in to authorized recycling collection centers or returned to battery dealers.

4. E-Waste & EPR Mandates

The **E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022**, establish strict Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets:

Corporate and residential electronic scrap (such as computer motherboards, cellular devices, and power supplies) must be handled exclusively by collectors authorized by GPCB/CPCB to ensure lead, cadmium, and mercury minerals are salvaged safely.

5. Direct Seller-to-Buyer Negotiations

Scrapprice operates purely as an information discovery index. We do not participate in negotiations, coordinate transport, or act as an intermediary. All transactions are negotiated directly between you and the buyer on independent legal terms.
